For Aafke's second litter we were honoured to be chosen by the Breeding Committee to be part of the outcross programme.  Aafke was matched with Peike Dintho Fan 't Foksfamylje  - BIJL. G-2 3193105.  Peike is a brown wetterhoun from the Labrador outcross line. His great grandfather is Carpenny Scenario - a champion Labrador who was chosen as the founder of the first outcross litter. In subsequent generations, suitable puppies were crossed with pure Wetterhouns.  This is the fourth generation of the outcross, so the puppies are registered with the Dutch Kennel Club as pure Wetterhouns despite having some Labrador genes. The puppies will have a lower Coefficient of Inbreeding and other health benefits. Interestingly the Embark test results from Peike show he does not carry the "greedy gene" that is present in some labradors.

Peike is a delightful dog, gentle and well behaved and a credit to his loving owners.
